Dean Forest Railway Austerity Tanks

The Dean Forest Railway, located near to Lydney and running through part of the Forest of Dean, is home to several Hunslet ‘Austerity’ tanks. And event was held in May 2017 to celebrate the return to steam of ‘Rennes’. Rennes was joined by other Austerity tanks for the occasion. The timetable culminated in a three coach train triple headed by Austerity tanks, which I captured on an early Olympus Pen viewfinder camera, on grainy ISO 400 film, climbing the bank to Norchard High Level station.
