Network Rail's Track Recording Unit
The unique Class 950, No. 950001, is a unit that I always tried to photograph on its visits to the Cotswold Line, usually running from Worcester to Long Marston, and en route to locations in the South West, for which it takes the Cross Country route.
Here is 950001 on a visit to Long Marston, pictured at two locations between Pershore and Evesham.
In much better weather, 950001 passes Defford on a return from the South West. As well as the sunny weather, I particularly like that this photograph includes the old stone bridge at Eckington.
Just a day later, the cloud has returned, and 950001 is heading south again through Abbotswood Junction.
The first of three sightings on 950001 in 2019, this view is from the stone footbridge just north of Bredon.
950001 passes Besford. This recently cleared view is opposite the very popular view of Croome Perry Wood.
Finally, 950001 makes another trip along the Cotswold Line, pictured here at Wyre Piddle. Pershore station is just beyond the curve in the distance.
