OSPF Link Down

List OSPF neighbours;

show ospf neighbor

Only active OSPF neighbours are shown. If a neighbour is missing, or has not reached the ‘FULL’ state and should have done, continue to troubleshoot the adjacency.

Layer 2 Link Down

Show physical port status;

show interface descriptions

The administrative and operational link states are displayed. If the link status is down down, then the interface is configured to be down. Enter configuration mode and execute delete interfaces <INTERFACE> disabled. If the link status is up down, there is a physical problem.

Check SFP status;

show interface diagnostics <INTERFACE>
