The first piece of land donated to the National Trust is Dinas Oleu, directly next to Barmouth on the Welsh coast. It’s a short but steep walk from the town and delivers fantastic views of the town and the estuary.

Here’s a picture of a train on the famous Barmouth Viaduct. The incoming tide has created what looks like a whirlpool near the two longest spans of the viaduct.
