On the second day of this trip to Pembrokeshire, we stopped at Stackpole Quay for a walk around the nearby beaches and the lily ponds. June is the best time of year to see the lilies in flower.

First, we walked across Barafundle beach.

Next, we went up onto the clifftops to get to Broad Haven South. These cliffs are popular with walkers, birdwatchers, climbers and kayakers. There’s even a sheltered bay that can only be reached from the sea.

After getting to Broad Haven South beach, which was busy for this time early in the season, we went inland to see the lily ponds.
