Llandulas

On my way to Conwy for a short break, I stopped at Llandulas. It is a small settlement, between Pensarn and Old Colwyn, on the North Wales coast. I enjoyed walking along the beach, finding details to photograph.

I have no idea why this rock has a very neat core drilled through it.

There are many ways to photograph these timbers, which make up ‘groins’, or sea defences. I’d tried to compose this image so that the top of the groin meets the horizon, and a wind farm in the distance.
