More views of Ullswater

Silver Crag

After climbing high above Ullswater yesterday, I decided to seek a clearer view of the lake itself today. This proved quite difficult, because due to the shape of the lake, there aren’t any places on it that the whole lake can be viewed from.

I walked along the footpath along the east side of the lake, starting at Patterdale. Here is a view of the steamer landing on the opposite side.

Continuing along this side of the lake, I climbed Silver Crag, which affords wider, but similar views of the southern part of the lake. Then, I followed the footpath down towards Silver Bay, a sheltered beach facing north.
