2026-04-09 Durham Cathedral

In the middle of the Galilee Chapel at Durham Cathedral is a wooden sculpture of the Annunciation, carved by Józef Pyrz.

The Lieutenancy chairs, unveiled in 2025, are for the King’s representative; however, after their unveiling, they were first used by the King and the Queen Consort, at the Maundy Thursday service that year.
