Todd Crag is a satellite of the well known Loughrigg Fell. Both are a short walk from Ambleside and a very shrot walk from each other. Today, I chose to climb straight to Todd Crag from Ambleside, starting at Rothay Park, which is close to the town centre.

There are so many spectacular views of the fells on the way up to Todd Crag from Ambleside, that it is difficult to choose a photograph to represent them - nor can any photograph do them justice.

From the other side of Todd Crag, what looks like it might be a small lake, is actually part of the River Brathay, which flows into Windermere.

From Todd Crag itself, the views of Windermere are spectacular. The large row of townhouses on the shore, by the pier, is YHA Ambleside.
