Sheringham

A pretty, pale sunset at Sheringham, on the evening of my arrival for a few nights in this seaside town. Industry is never far away, and in the distance can be seen a jack-up barge.

A slipway at Sheringham, littered with boats. Sheringham’s seafront feels quite cramped, especially in August when it hosts not just small boats, but many hundreds of holidaymakers. The steep gradient of the slipway gives the feeling that space on this seafront is at a premium.

Einstein and a white dog adorn part of the sea wall at Sheringham. Albert Einstein lived in Norfolk after leaving Germany in the 1930s.
